5 More On Page SEO Tips
Posted by admin | Filed under seo tips
This seo advice is the second part continuation of my On Page SEO Tips that all website owners interested in Search Engine Optimization need to know.
So you’ve taken care of the most important on page SEO techniques and think you’re well on your way to easy street, right? Well not so fast, because in order to have your website fully tuned to attract high rankings from Google & Yahoo there’s a few other important techniques that need to be thought about before moving onto One Way Link Building.
Here are the next 5 SEO Tips.
SEO Tips & Advice
- Use keywords in h2, h3, & h4 tags. This is the same tehnique as utilizing the h1 tags, however these tags generally highlight pieces of content of lesser importance. Its a good practice to use these tags in your keyword strategy.
- Use keywords in image titles and alt tags. Don’t listen to those SEOs who say that this is unimportant because in my experience I’ve ranked very high for terms that can only be found in my alt tags, to my surprise. I will never ignore that impact.
- Bold your keywords. When you use bold text on your webpage, it usually means you want that bolded item to jump out to your reader. Google takes note of this, so throw your keywords, like San Diego SEO, in bold & strong tags. See, I bet that just jumped out at you
- Use keywords in your meta description tag. This is mainly important for user display purposes, as the meta description is the snippet that surfers will read on the search engines, however the search engines do also pull keywords from this description.
- Use keywords in your meta keywords tag. Back in the day, this used to be the cat’s pajamas for search engines like Yahoo however when Google entered into the search engine arena this technique was almost completely put to rest. Keyword being ‘almost’. Yahoo may still take this into consideration so taking the few seconds to add keywords into your meta keywords tag can’t be that painful, can it?
If you follow these SEO Tips (see there’s the bold again), you can officially sleep well knowing that your webpage is now fully prepared for your Search Engine Optimization strategy. Of course, this is only a small percentage of the work you need to do in order to simply leave your competition in the dust. Search Engine Optimziation is a difficult and time consuming operation, and of course if your keyword research is inaccurate or unrealistic, all of this on page optimization will be slightly more than worthless.
